FIRE IN THE EYE

Stage Lighting and Scenic Design by Terry Cermak

Working primarily in regional theatre, I have served as the Lighting Designer for hundreds of productions (including the world premiere productions of A LESSON BEFORE DYING and FAIR AND TENDER LADIES). I have designed for rotating repertory, tours, concerts, special events, commercial video, and a short film by the Environmental Protection Agency for public television.

As a Production Manager, I have developed and supervised budgets of a few hundred dollars to over half a million. I have created and successfully implemented intricate production schedules of multiple and intersecting projects involving world class artists, negotiating union contracts, and operating within union agreements. I have planned tours, concerts, transfers, and facility upgrades.

I am currently vice president emeritus of production and design with the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, and a founding ensemble member and set & lighting designer with the Lean Ensemble Theatre in Hilton Head Island, SC.
